The Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) is proud to announce that four of its staff members received commendations from the Minister of Health and Welfare at the “54th Health Day Ceremony”, held on April 7 at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This year’s 54th Health Day was held under the theme, “A Society Where Health Is Fundamental, A Korea Enjoyed by All,” to recognize and encourage individuals who have dedicated themselves to improving public health and advancing healthcare services. At this year’s ceremony, four KOFIH staff members were honored with the Minister of Health and Welfare Commendation: Assistant Manager Jinju Hong from the Planning and Coordination Office, Assistant Manager Jueun Lee from the Human Resources Team, Assistant Manager Yunhyeong Shin from the Development Strategy Office, and Country Representative Sunjoo Lee from the KOFIH Myanmar Office.

In particular, Ms. Hong was selected as one of only five recipients—out of a total of 210 awardees—to receive the commendation directly on stage as a representative recipient. She was highly recognized for her contributions to advancing global health and strengthening healthcare systems through the development of KOFIH’s key cooperative projects and the establishment of strong local foundations. The other awardees—Assistant Manager Lee, Assistant Manager Shin, and Country Representative Lee—were also acknowledged for their distinguished achievements over the past three or more years in their respective areas, contributing to the enhancement of public health and elevating the organization’s standing. This multiple recognition reflects the professionalism and dedication of KOFIH staff, whose efforts have now been publicly acknowledged.
