Policies for Operation & Management Of Video Information

The Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (hereinafter referred to as “KOFIH”), through these policies for operation and management of video information processing equipment, gives you information as to for what purposes and in what ways the video information processed by this institution is used and managed.

1. Grounds for installing video information processing equipment, and purpose of installation

This institution installs and operates the video information processing equipment for the following purposes pursuant to Article 25 Section 1 of the Personal Information Protection Act :- Ensuring facility safety and preventing fires ; and- Preventing vehicles from being stolen or damaged.

• Processing method :
this institution records and manages matters on the use for purposes other than the purpose of personal video information, provision of information to third parties, destruction of information, making requests for (perusal, etc.), etc., upon the expiration of the retention period, this institution permanently deletes the records (or for printed materials, this institution shreds the records by paper shredder or destroys the records by way of incineration) in a way that the records cannot be regenerated.

5.Matters on verification method and place for personal video information

- Verification method : if you contacts the video information protection manager in advance and visits this institution, you may conduct verifications.

- Verification place : Department of Humanitarian Development & Migrant Health Team of the KOFIH

6.Measures to be taken as to requests for perusal, etc. of information subjects' video information

In the event that you desires to peruse, verify the existence of, or delete relevant personal video information, you may at any time request a relevant administrator of the video information processing equipment to allow you to do so; provided, however, that such requests shall be limited only to the personal video information processing you or relevant personal video information clearly necessary for information subjects' emergent life, bodily, or proprietary interests.

7.Measures to obtain security of video information

Any video information processed by this institution is safely managed by taking encryption measures, etc. In addition, as a managerial measure for protecting personal image information, this institution differentiates the right of access to personal information. In order to prevent personal image information from being falsified or altered, this institution records and manages the date and time when personal image information was created, and at the time of perusal, the purpose of perusal, peruser(s), and the date and time of perusal, etc. Besides, this institution installs locking devices in order to ensure safe physical retention of personal image information.

8.Matters on changes in the Policies for Operation and Management of Video Information Processing EquipmentThese Policies for Operation and Management of Video Information Processing Equipment were made on May 28, 2014. In the event that certain content of these Policies for Operation and Management of Video Information Processing Equipment is added, deleted, or modified due to a change(s) in the laws, policies, or security technologies, this institution will inform you of the reasons for change(s) and the content of change(s), etc. through its homepage at least seven (7) days before the change(s) are to be implemented.
