KOFIH was established in 2006 to honor the legacy of Dr. Lee Jong-wook, the late 6th Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO). Following his highest principles, KOFIH commits itself to promoting international collaboration and spreading humanitarian values through health assistance projects for partner countries in Asia and Africa mainly led by its overseas offices, North Korea, overseas Koreans and migrant workers in Korea. Building on its partnership with partner countries and e xperience of international cooperation, KOFIH relentlessly strives to help Korea contribute to universal health and happiness as the global hub, thereby committing to achieving Korea's founding ideal of expanding the benefit of people.
