About KOFIHThe Korea Foundation for International Healthcare attended the ‘2025 Development Cooperation Day’ ceremony held at the Plaza Hotel in Seoul on Tuesday, November 25.
This ceremony commemorated November 25th, the date Korea joined the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) in 2009. Its significance was heightened this year as it was designated for the first time as a statutory commemorative day under the Framework Act on International Development Cooperation.
Approximately 250 attendees, including Prime Minister Kim Min-seok, ambassadors to Korea, representatives of international organizations and international development cooperation organizations, participated in the ceremony to share achievements in international development cooperation and discuss future cooperation directions.
KOFIH was recognized for its achievements in international development cooperation, with Country Representative Park Won-seok (current Country Representative of KOFIH Lao PDR Office, former Director of the Development Cooperation Strategy Office) receiving the Prime Minister's Commendation, and Team Leader Park Jin-ha (Asia Team) receiving the Minister for OPC (Office for Government Policy Coordination) Commendation.
This is a meaningful achievement, officially acknowledging the dedicated efforts of KOFIH members working on the frontlines of global health.
As a specialized agency for global health cooperation, KOFIH will continue to fulfill its role with greater responsibility to improve healthcare environments in partner countries and achieve global health equity.
