About KOFIHOn November 13, 2025, the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH), a public agency under the Republic of Korea's Ministry of Health and Welfare, held a short-term training program to enhance laboratory diagnostic and testing capacity for Dr LEE Jong-wook Fellowship alumni from Ghana. This program was conducted in collaboration with KH Medical, a Korean medical device company that recently opened in Accra, Ghana.

Thirteen Ghanaian fellows with diverse healthcare backgrounds, including biomedical engineering, infectious diseases, and clinical fields, participated in this field training. The program was conducted as a field inspection tour, enabling participants to directly observe and understand how laboratory medical equipment operates at the KH Medical Africa Center.

The KOFIH Ghana Office plans to continue building mutually beneficial cooperative frameworks through collaboration with the domestic medical device industry, ensuring that Korean medical device technology can be utilized in the healthcare settings of partner countries.
