About KOFIHThe Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH), in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ghana and the Ghana Korean Association, jointly held an ‘Emergency First Aid and CPR Training’ session on October 21, 2025, at the Embassy conference room. This training was organized to enhance the emergency response capabilities of employees of Korean-dispatch institutions in Ghana, Korean residents, and their family members. A total of 36 participants attended and received training.
The training was led by the Head of the Special Response Unit of Ghana's National Ambulance Service (NAS). It provided both theoretical instruction and hands-on practice, focusing on practical response scenarios including basic first aid procedures and CPR exercises.

Participants were able to understand the lecture content smoothly through English-Korean interpretation. During the practical sessions, participants showed high interest, learning CPR directly using mannequins. Additionally, a Q&A session after the practice allowed for sharing practical emergency response tips for real-life situations.

This training served as an opportunity to enhance the safety capabilities of Korean expatriates and employees in Ghana and strengthen the foundation for cooperation with local emergency medical institutions. Going forward, KOFIH plans to continue promoting regular emergency training and the establishment of a safety network through cooperation with the NAS.
