About KOFIHOn September 26, 2025, the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH), a public institution under the Republic of Korea's Ministry of Health and Welfare, signed a Medical Service Agreement (MSA) with Tema General Hospital (TGH) in Ghana to provide seamless medical services to Koreans residing in Ghana.
Tema, located approximately 25 km east of the capital Accra, is Ghana's largest port city and industrial hub. It is home to numerous Korean companies and manufacturing plants, serving as a central hub for industrial activity and the lives of Korean expatriates. Tema General Hospital is the largest public hospital and a key medical institution in the Tema city.

Furthermore, the hospital's Director, Dr. Ralph Armah, is a graduate of KOFIH's Dr LE Jong-wook Fellowship Program clinical course. Based on his deep understanding and trust in Korea's healthcare cooperation projects, he has maintained a close cooperative relationship. Considering this geographical importance and the synergy with the existing human network, the KOFIH Ghana Office selected Tema General Hospital as the medical cooperation institution for the Korean community.

The signing ceremony was held on September 26, 2025, in the conference room of Tema General Hospital. Through this agreement, Korean expatriates residing in Ghana will be able to receive prompt and seamless medical services at the hospital. This is expected to strengthen the healthcare cooperation network between KOFIH and local healthcare institutions and contribute as a mutually beneficial model that enhances the quality of healthcare services not only for the Korean but also for local residents in the future.
