The Ministry of Health and Welfare (Minister Jeong Eun-kyeong) held the “2025 Fair for Products Made by Persons with Severe Disabilities” at the aT Center (located in Yangjae-dong, Seoul) on Tuesday, September 9th to Wednesday, September 10th. During the event, the Ministry awarded a total of 30 Minister of Health and Welfare Commendations to individuals and institutions that contributed to vitalizing the priority purchasing system for products made by persons with severe disabilities.

At the event, the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (President Ha Il-soo, hereinafter referred to as KOFIH) was honored with the Minister of Health and Welfare Commendation in the procurement category. This recognition was granted for exceeding the 1.0% target ratio for priority purchasing of products made by persons with severe disabilities over the past three years, and particularly for achieving a performance rate of 4.16% in 2024.

Moving forward, the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare plans to faithfully fulfill its role as a public institution to support the vocational rehabilitation and establishment of self-reliance foundations for individuals with severe disabilities.

Meanwhile, First Vice Minister Lee Seu-ran of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, who attended the opening ceremony, emphasized, “We hope this fair will raise awareness of products made by people with severe disabilities and serve as a meaningful opportunity for them to achieve independence through employment.” She added, “We will strive to discover competitive new products and support market expansion so that more citizens can trust and purchase products made by people with severe disabilities.”
