The Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (President Il-Soo Ha, hereinafter ‘KOFIH’) hosted its first-ever institutional tour program for employees with preschool-aged children on Saturday, August 23. This event marked a new initiative to tangibly realize the KOFIH's work-life balance culture, taking a meaningful first step toward fostering a workplace culture that embraces families.

A total of 8 families (26 participants) took part in the program. Activities included an introduction to the KOFIH's founding background and main projects tailored to the children's level, a tour of the work environment, and an inside look at the mobile clinic vehicles. Participating families gained a deeper understanding and trust in KOFIH by directly seeing and experiencing its work and workplace.

Employees who participated in the event expressed high satisfaction, stating: “It was very impressive that you introduced KOFIH to our young children using picture books about Dr. Lee Jong-wook. This also gave my spouse an opportunity to understand the foundation,” and “It was very meaningful and beneficial to have the chance to introduce the mobile clinics, which are not easily accessible, to my family.”

As a public institution certified for family-friendly management in 2017, KOFIH plans to continuously expand diverse participatory programs that foster shared understanding among families, starting with this inaugural invitation program for children. Furthermore, it will strengthen institutional support for employees' work-life balance and simultaneously solidify the foundation for ESG management to address global health inequalities as a global healthcare institution.
