About KOFIHOn June 11, 2025, the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) declared the Human Rights Management Charter at an employee workshop and pledged to implement the KOFIH's mission to eliminate global health inequalities and create a healthy world.
The Charter specifies the standards of behavior and value judgments that employees must adhere to, and through this KOFIH aims to express its strong commitment to human rights management. In addition, it aims to spread awareness of respect for human rights and promote sustainable development by raising awareness among all employees.
The Charter consists of 11 articles, the main contents of which are as follows:
- Respecting international standards for human rights
- Compliance with domestic and international environmental laws and regulations
- Ensuring employees' freedom of association and collective bargaining
- Compliance with labor principles and efforts to prevent human rights violations
- Actively seeking redress for victims of human rights violations when they occur
- Respecting human rights such as the right to life, safety, and property rights of local residents overseas
- Supporting the human rights management of partner organizations and ensuring access to personal information
KOFIH President Ha Il-Soo said “As a health partner contributing to the reduction of global health inequalities, KOFIH's human rights management practices must be established as a top priority in all management activities.”
KOFIH will post the contents of the Human Rights Management Charter on its website in Korean and English and distribute it to its overseas offices. KOFIH will continue to strive for ethical management based on human rights and sustainable international healthcare cooperation.
