About KOFIHThe Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) held a meeting with a visiting delegation from the Ministry of Health of Pakistan and the Embassy of Pakistan in Korea on May 29, 2025 (Thursday) at the KOFIH's headquarters to discuss ways to cooperate.
The meeting was attended by KOFIH President Il-Soo Ha, Ambassador Syed Moazzam H. Shah, Pakistan's Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Captain Muhammad Mehmood, Deputy Secretary of Health Ministry, Dr. Qazi M. Omar, Project Director of Capital Development Authority (CDA), and Dr. Jasim Anwar, Deputy Project Director of CDA, to have an in-depth conversation to strengthen cooperation between the two organizations.
The main agenda was to explore the possibility of KOFIH's cooperation with the Jinnah Medical Complex & Research Center (JMC&RC), the largest public hospital planned to be built in Pakistan's capital city of Islamabad, and to deepen the mutual understanding between the two sides on how to provide comprehensive support to strengthen the local healthcare system, including training of medical personnel, consulting on hospital operations, and strengthening the local healthcare system.
The meeting was a meaningful opportunity for KOFIH and Pakistan to explore ways to expand healthcare cooperation and contribute to the development of healthcare in both countries.
