About KOFIHOn May 21 (Wednesday), KOFIH hosted a visit program for 22 students, a professor and staff from Korea Bible University (KBU) including 19 third-year nursing students and a professor to enhance their understanding of the international health field.
The program was held at the Dr. Lee Jong-wook Hall on the 7th floor of KOFIH for about an hour and a half, and included a general introduction to KOFIH's history and major projects, followed by real-life case-based lectures by staff members based on their overseas assignment experiences.
In particular, a staff member who majored in nursing and is currently working at KOFIH after various overseas assignments spoke directly to the students about her experiences in the field of international development cooperation, her role in the field, and her rewards and challenges.
The students actively asked questions and showed high interest in the role of nurses in the global health, career direction, and competencies required.
The Korea Foundation for International Healthcare will continue to exchange and communicate with future healthcare talents interested in international development cooperation to broaden their understanding of the global health and opportunities for career exploration.
