About KOFIHOn May 13, 2025 (Tuesday), the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare held the final report of the 'Study on Establishing Digital Health Strategy and Implementation Plan in the Healthcare Sector' at the Dr. Lee Jong-wook Hall on the 7th floor of KOFIH.
As part of the strategy to respond to the rapidly changing healthcare environment, such as COVID-19 and the global health crisis, this reporting was designed to specify the direction and implementation strategy of ODA projects in the field of digital health.
At the reporting, the main contents and results of the study conducted by Seoul National University researchers were presented, including the definition of digital health and global strategy analysis, analysis of the project status of other donors and KOFIH, field survey results in Ethiopia and Cambodia, and the framework for KOFIH’s implementation strategy and project planning analysis.
In addition, practical discussions were held on the need to design a digital health curriculum within the Dr LEE Jong-wook Fellowship Program and how to identify customized projects based on the needs of the recipient countries.
Through this research, KOFIH will strengthen its strategic ODA planning capabilities that reflect Korea's digital health strengths and build a systematic analysis foundation that is aligned with the conceptual framework of international organizations such as the WHO.
KOFIH will continue to identify and expand customized digital health ODA projects that take into account the health environment of recipient countries and contribute to sustainable global health cooperation.
