On April 4, 2025, the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) held a meeting with the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) of Mongolia to strengthen healthcare capacity in developing countries.

The meeting was attended by President Il-Soo Ha of KOFIH, and Director Ankhbayar Enkhbold of the Mongolia NCCD, and the two organizations discussed a wide range of ways to improve the current situation of major diseases that have been increasing in Mongolia in recent years. In particular, they explored the possibility of cooperation in specific areas such as diagnosis and management of communicable diseases (tuberculosis) in primary health and medical care, strengthening cervical cancer screening and diagnosis capacity, and strengthening the capacity of healthcare personnel through Dr LEE Jong-wook Fellowship Program.

The Mongolian National Center for Communicable Diseases requested cooperation and support from KOFIH to more effectively promote communicable disease control projects in Mongolia, and KOFIH expressed its willingness to do everything possible and discussed future cooperation.
