About KOFIH□ The Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) held a donation ceremony for eight mobile medical repair vehicles and medical equipment in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, on March 5 (Wednesday).
□ The donation ceremony was held as part of the “Project for Capacity Building of Bio-medical Engineering Service in Sri Lanka”, which is a collaboration between KOFIH and the Sri Lankan Ministry of Health, and aims to improve access to medical device maintenance for rural medical institutions in Sri Lanka.
□ The mobile medical device repair vehicles donated on the day were modified to enable quick inspection and repair in rural areas that lack medical device maintenance infrastructure, which will minimize interruptions in medical treatment due to medical device breakdowns and support the provision of stable medical services.
□ The donated medical equipment (radiation meter, gas flow analyzer, etc.) will be used to replace old equipment and maintain medical devices, and is expected to contribute to strengthening medical device capabilities and providing high-quality medical services.
