About KOFIH△ High-level Invitational Training for National Cancer Management and Capacity Building in Uganda
□ As part of the National Cancer Management and Capacity Building Project (`23~`25), an invitational training was held for high-level officials from Uganda's cancer-related organizations (Ministry of Health and Uganda Cancer Institute) from February 23 (Sun) to 29 (Sat).
□ The main program of the training included a tour of cancer-related healthcare institutions and facilities in Korea, including Goyang, Incheon, Suwon, and Yongin, and learning about the Korean cancer management experience and related healthcare system based on the characteristics of each institution.
□ The participants also had a roundtable to discuss the implications of applying Korean best practices learned through the program to the Ugandan healthcare system and cancer management system to maximize the effectiveness of the training.
□ “I hope this training will be a meaningful opportunity to learn about Korea's advanced cancer management system and treatment system,” said Dr. Il-Soo Ha at the opening ceremony on Monday (24th). “I hope that you will contribute to the improvement of Uganda's cancer system and system through proactive knowledge sharing after the training.” He added.
