About KOFIH□ On July 3 2024, the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) held the National Steering Committee (NSC) for all projects in Ghana in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Ghana. The meeting was attended by key stakeholders from the Resource Procurement (Bilateral) Division and Medical Engineering Division of the Ministry of Health of Ghana, ICD Division of Ghana Health Service, Volta Regional Health Directorate, Oti Regional Health Directorate, and Ghana National Health Insurance Service.
□ At the meeting, the status of the first half of 2024 for each project was presented, and plans for the second half of the year were shared and discussed. In addition, in-depth discussions were held on the challenges and lessons learnt during the implementation of the projects, and future improvement measures were proposed based on them. In particular, the participants shared the direction for new projects in 2026 and exchanged their opinions.
□ The meeting was an important opportunity to explore various ways to strengthen Ghana's health system based on close cooperation and communication between KOFIH and the Ministry of Health of Ghana. Both sides pledged to continue to work together for the successful implementation of healthcare projects in Ghana.
