About KOFIH□ On June 18, KOFIH donated seven ambulances, two monitoring vehicles for project sites to Oromia Regional Health Bureau as part of “Primary Health System Strengthening Project Focused on Reproductive Maternal and Newborn Health in Jimma Zone, Ethiopia”. Also, 17 outreach motorcycles were donated for “Establishing Tuberculosis Screening System and Capacity Building on Tuberculosis Diagnosis in Jimma Zone, Oromia, Ethiopia”. Outreach motorcycles including ambulances, and medical equipment and materials will be distributed to each woreda after the ceremony.
□ Through a congratulatory speech by the Country Representative of KOFIH Ethiopia Office during the event, he expressed his expectation the donation of these vehicles and equipment will strengthen the referral system between health facilities in the project area, Oromia and increase the effectiveness of the project, including the active detection of TB cases. It was followed by speeches in response by the Head and Vice Head of Jimma Zonal Health Office who appreciated KOFIH’s donation.
The Head expressed his gratitude for the continued support through the primary maternal and child health, TB, and maternal and child health projects and promised to utilize the donated items to improve healthcare services. The Vice Head mentioned the history of exchanges between Ethiopia and Korea and expressed his appreciation for the continued cooperation to date.
