□ The Korea Foundation for International Healthcare held the “2024 Cambodia KOFIH Global Alumni (KGA) General Assembly” on 28-29 March 2024 in Siem Reap, Cambodia, for 103 participants, including the graduates of Dr LEE Jong-wook Fellowship Program. It was presided over by President Ha of KOFIH and he warmly welcomed the guests.
□ The general assembly was attended by high-level officials from the central government of Cambodia and the provincial health director to celebrate the assembly. Also, high-level officials from partner institutions, including the president of Inje University, joined the event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of cooperation through Dr LEE Jong-wook Fellowship Program. As for fellows, 69 KGA alumni from all over Cambodia attended to share their achievements.
□ A total of 149 Cambodian healthcare professionals in the public health sector were trained through the Program from 2010 to 2023. A local alumni association was established in 2016, and KOFIH supports the alumni to continue their network and spread the results of the fellowship program through regular meetings and local activities after returning home. Such effort aims to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of the fellowship program.
